Hard Candy —en español: Caramelo duro— es el undécimo álbum de estudio de la cantautora estadounidense Madonna. Fue lanzado el 19 de abril de 2008 por Warner Bros. Records. Fue su último álbum de estudio con la discográfica, marcando fin a 25 años de historia de grabación. Madonna empezó a trabajar en el álbum en el 2007, y colaboró con Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, Pharrell Williams y Nate "Danja" Hills. El álbum tiene, en general, un ambiente pop urbano, mientras que se mantiene dance-pop en su núcleo. Los Pet Shop Boys también fueron invitados por Warner Bros. para colaborar con Madonna en el álbum, pero la discográfica cambió más tarde de opinión y retiró la invitación.
Madonna se interesó en trabajar con Timberlake después de escuchar su álbum de 2006 FutureSex/LoveSounds. Juntos hicieron varias canciones para el álbum, pero la base del desarrollo fueron los demos de Williams. Madonna tuvo varias canciones escritas para el álbum, lo que asombró a Timberlake. Ellos tuvieron intensas discusiones entre ellos antes de grabar una canción. Después, Madonna recordó que la mayoría de las canciones en Hard Candy eran autobiográficas en muchos aspectos. Al ser lanzado, Hard Candy debutó en la posición número 1 en 37 países, incluyendo Estados Unidos, Australia, Canadá, Francia, Alemania, Japón y el Reino Unido y se convirtió en el undécimo álbum más vendido en el mundo en el 2008. Según Nielsen SoundScan, hasta octubre de 2012, Hard Candy vendió 744 000 copias en Estados Unidos. El álbum ha vendido más de 6 millones de copias mundialmente, de las cuales, 3 millones fueron en su año debut.
Tres sencillos fueron lanzados del álbum. El primero, «4 Minutes» fue un éxito mundial, encabezando las listas de popularidad en 21 países y se convirtió en el 37 top ten de Madonna en la lista Billboard Hot 100. Otros sencillos que se lanzaron fueron «Give It 2 Me» y «Miles Away». Para promocionar al álbum, Madonna hizo una gira pequeña en 3 ciudades, donde se presentó en pequeños lugares. El álbum recibió la mayoría de su promoción del Sticky & Sweet Tour (2008-2009), que se convirtió en la gira con más recaudaciones por un solista.
