Invincible es el décimo y último álbum de estudio en vida de Michael Jackson lanzado en 2001. El álbum cuenta con un variado tracklist, 16 canciones lo forman con una mezcla de diferentes estilos, entre ellos el funk, R&B (rythm & blues), con dance o hip hop; y el hard rock ("Privacy"). Cabe destacar "You Rock My World", "Cry", "Butterflies", y "Unbreakable" como las canciones clave del disco. Uno de los mejores álbumes (a nivel de producción musical) de Michael Jackson, opacado por el boicot de Sony a los meses de lanzamiento del CD, cortándose así la promoción del disco a pesar de lo cual logro vender más de 7.5 millones de copias en todo el mundo.

Un disco con el récord al disco con más dinero invertido en su producción, Jackson aparece con un estilo distinto e innovador. Para hacer este disco se invirtieron más de 30 millones de dolares. En este disco está incluido también el tema "Whatever Happens", con Carlos Santana, considerado por sus seguidores uno de los mejores y más importantes de su carrera. Actualmente el álbum lleva unas 14 millones de copias.

El álbum fue el beneficiario de una nominación al premio Grammy por Mejor Interpretación Vocal Pop Hombre, además de ser votado por los lectores de la revista Billboard, el mejor álbum de la década. Se dice que el disco Justified de Justin Timberlake fue ofrecido a Michael Jackson, pero lo rechazó por lo que le fue dado a Timberlake en su lugar.
